Court says lesbian couple must share sperm after split
Breaking up is hard to do. But it’s harder when you have 13 tubes of sperm on hold at your neighborhood sperm bank.
That’s the situation a lesbian couple in Vancouver B.C. found themselves dealing with after their breakup. Sperm from a donor was used a decade ago for each woman to have a biological child. When one woman decided she’d like to have a baby with a new partner, she asked her ex if she could use the leftover sperm.
Her former partner said she’d rather the sperm be destroyed.
