Review of the book Momaholic by Dena Higley

This book was a nice read. I read it about one day because I suffered a seizure the other day and am too sore to do much else

This book is about a mom who writes for a famous soap opera and also juggles the life of her and her husband her kids. It started off real nice and fast paced but the rest of the book kind of went on slowly. Like I lost interest after the first couple of pages.

I did like 2 quotes in the book . The first one I liked was on page 157 where the author says ” Oh, what peace we often forfeit. Oh, what needless pain we bear. All because do not carry everything to GOD in prayer.” I like this quote because GOD only gives us what we can bear, he does not give us more. We just need to rely on him.

The second quote I liked was on page 184 which reads “… I don’t know why it’s not more like it is in the movies, why things don’t come neatly and lessons can’t be learned when you’re in the mood for learning them, why love and grace often come in such motley packaging.” I like this quote because life is often unpredictable and throws you for a loop and you get blindsided but when that happens life has you learn a lesson such as life is precious and can be taken in an instant and so on.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
