Yellowstone super-volcano: More active, less super
Researchers at Washington State University have some good news and some bad news. The good news: The dormant volcano that’s under Yellowstone National Park might not be as large and massively destructive as we thought.
But this is one of those situations where size doesn’t really matter.
Turns out, the so-called super-volcano is probably also more active than previously thought. New research from WSU indicates the volcano’s biggest eruption might have actually been two about 6,000 years apart.
